Some twenty years ago I attended a business start-up course and met a young man by the name of Steven Parker, who was developing a monthly magazine for Morris Minor enthusiasts. I was starting out as a graphic designer and had an interest in cars so it was inevitable that we teamed up. The result was Minor Monthly, which first went to press in 1995 and was still in existence until very recently.
As fate would have it, we met up again through the power of social media. We’re both a little older (and a little greyer!) – all right, 20 years older! But history has a way of repeating itself and Steven is now embarking on a new venture.
Working with Steven on Minor Monthly rekindled my passion for classic cars, a passion which hasn’t waned in the past two decades. And neither has Steven’s love of the Morris Minor. I have never met anyone so enthusiastic about one marque!
Technology has moved on in the past twenty years. Printed matter has made way to on-line material and so it is with great pleasure that I can announce the launch, today of Minor Times. A new magazine style website for the Morris Minor enthusiast.
I’m sure with Steven’s drive and enthusiasm it will be a great success.
